BRIDAL FAQ
Do I need a trial?
– I would recommend a trial for the Bride. The main reason for the trial is to check for allergies and to make sure that you like what I do. A Trial is not necessary for the bridal party, but if they wish they can have one.

How long will it last? – Allow about 2 hours for the trial as we will have a detailed consultation and try a couple of different looks to make sure you get the look you want. Try to arrange your trial in the morning that way you will have the rest of the day to see how the makeup lasts. I can do evenings and weekends too.

Where do you do the trial? – I can come to you or you can come to my studio in Penzance.

Will you come to where I am getting ready on the day? – Yes. I will come to where ever you are getting ready on the morning of your wedding.

I have sensitive skin, can you still do my makeup? – Yes, I use a variety of products that have all been tested on several skin types. I can also recommend a good range of Aloe Vera based cosmetics that are excellent for sensitive skin.

Do you sell the products you use? – I do not sell the products I use directly, but I can give you the details of where to purchase all the products I use.

How do I secure my wedding day? - To secure your wedding day a NON-REFUNDABLE  deposit of £30 is payable. As during busy months more than one person may enquire about a date. The date is only secured on receipt of the deposit. This is on a strict first paid first booked basis. Therefore it is usually best to book at your trial. You can however book your wedding day as early as you like.

How can I pay? – I accept cash or cheque (with guarantee card).
Trial fees must be paid on the day, in cash. Any over time fees must be paid at the end of the trial .
Deposits anytime upto 2 weeks before the wedding date , but the sooner the better to avoid the date being booked by someone else.(any later than 2 weeks prior to the wedding the balance in full must be paid)
Final balances are due either in cash on the morning of the wedding or by cheque no later than 14 days before the wedding date.

Should I have my hair or makeup done first? – I would generally say have your hair done first, this way the makeup is fresher and looks it’s best before you leave. Sometimes it may be possible to do your ‘base’ then get your hair done then finish the makeup. I am happy to do either, what ever makes your day the least stressful :)

What if I need to cancel? – If you have paid your full balance and as long as it is more than 4 weeks prior to the wedding the balance LESS THE DEPOSIT will be refunded. Trial fees are not refundable. If less than 4 weeks to the wedding  75% of any balance due must be paid. If less than 2 weeks to the wedding day 100% of any balance must be paid.

What if you need to cancel? – In the unlikely event that I need to cancel I will do my best to provide a Makeup artist that will carry out your makeup as discussed in the trial. If this is not possible I will refund any balance paid.

OTHER FAQ
Do I need a patch test?
– Yes. For any eyelash or brow tinting a patch test is required no less than 24 hours beforehand. The treatment can not go ahead without a patch test, or if you have a reaction to the patch test. Once a negative patch test has been done you will not need another unless I change the brand of product used for the tinting.

Do you do hair? - I am not a hairdresser. I can do BASIC hair styles. If you require an ‘updo’ or anything complicated I can recommend several excellent stylists. I will be offering hair in the future so please keep checking back for updates.

Are you insured? – Yes. I am a fully insured through Associated Beauty Therapists
